"A really big man takes a very long bath in “Restoration,” the leisurely new comedy written by and starring Claudia Shear, and he’s not the only one who comes clean. In this girl-meets-statue story, Giulia (Ms. Shear), a lonely Brooklyn art conservator, lands the plum job of scrubbing down Michelangelo’s 17-foot statue of David at the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence." - Click here to read the full review.SYNOPSIS - ABOUT THE SHOW
Shear plays Giulia, a down-on-her-luck art restorer from Brooklyn who receives what could possibly be a career-reviving job of "refreshing" Michelangelo's David in time for its quincentennial celebration in Florence.
Two-time Tony Award-nominee, playwright and actress Claudia Shear reunites with acclaimed director Christopher Ashley to create and star in her new play Restoration.
