"Bravo to Be Bold productions for tackling something that most people and companies would not. With a giant like Andrew Lloyd Weber's production shadowing over them, they should be applauded for breaking away and bringing something new to this classic story." - Click here to read the full review.SYNOPSIS - ABOUT THE SHOW
Based on the classic novel by Gaston Leroux, this heart-racing musical unravels the mystery of a passionate man living deep beneath the grand Paris Opera House. Was he a madman? A musical genius? | Review: Email From Stacey by Michael S. |
| Words cannot express, what a wonderful night we had on Friday, at the opening of Phantom of the Opera. We received an email from 20at20.com advertising the play. A friend of mine and I had nothing going on that Friday so we decided to try it after viewing the YouTube video for the play. It looked eerie, and weird, and the music sounded great, all right up our alley! We could have never expected or imagined the amazing time we were in for. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed we were with the casting of the characters, all were so well done, their parts experly played including the wonderful narrator, and of course, the phantom himself. The entire cast was fantastic! What a wonderful interpretation of this play, amazing choreography, and dialog, alot of mystery, and extremely well done. It was the best phantom I have ever seen. The music - I can't say enough of the music! With the wonderful sounds timed perfectly with the events of the play, and I felt the music was exceptional, phenomenal, and perfection. It was so hauntingly beautiful, we wished we could buy a CD of the music that Michael created. I really can't tell you in words how much we enjoyed this play, its really beyond explaining, plus we used our discount at one of the area restaurants and had a wonderful dinner. And even our play hostess at the end, who was thanking everyone for coming to opening night was teary eyed when she was welcoming the director on stage. It really was an emotional performance, and one we will see again. We are regulars on your mailing list now, and am happy we found this little theatre to come home to on a friday or saturday night. Bravo to the entire cast and crew of the Phantom. It was an exceptional night and one we will remember for the rest of our lives. We are still talking about it and its Sunday!!! So well written and scripted and played out, and lyrically superb. Really, all the hard work was noticed and appreciated. You all did a fabulous job on stage! Bravo to all of you!!!
