Working Theater in a co-production with Queens Theatre in the Park presents the Off-Broadway premiere of Our Dad Is in Atlantis, a new play by Mexican playwright Javier Malpica translated by Jorge Ignacio Cortiñas. Debbie Saivetz directs.
Our Dad is in Atlantis / Papa Esta En La Atlantida is a funny and tender play about two young Mexican brothers whose widowed father has gone to America to find work. In the care of relatives they barely know, the boys are forced to rely on each other for the emotional and physical support that as children they are unequipped to provide.
