Love Shouldn't Hurt. But Sometimes It Does. Join All In Black And White
Productions and the Midtown International Theater Festival as Flowers: A Thorny Romance Story
takes the Main Stage in New York. Inspired by the poem, 'I Got Flowers
Today," this hard-hitting drama tackles the not so rosy side of love.
Whether she's a Fortune 500 wife and mother, a lesbian poet, a Christian
first generation immigrant, or a teenager in love, whenever a woman is
hit she gets a bouquet of flowers and apology. This is her story. Flowers
is based on the real life experience of men and women dealing with
contemporary issues ripped from today's headlines. Don't miss this
theatrical exploration that intertwines vignettes, monologues, music,
and spoken word poetry. Flowers has been described as a communal
marriage between Ntozake Shange's For Colored Girl's… and Eve Ensler's
The Vagina Monologues.
