If you think your family has issues, you should really take a trip down to the Soho Playouse on Vandam street and see Made in Heaven written by Jay Bernzweig.  Trust me when I say your family and love life will probably seem like a cake walk after you check out this show. And if it doesn't make you feel better, well, then you've got a lot more on your plate than the average Joe. It's a strictly adult comedy about family life when you're a set of conjoined twins going through the trials and tribulations of love. Things are tough when you're stuck together, it means you have to share everything and in the case of Max and Benjie that even means a penis. Things wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that one is straight and has a deep dark secret.

Made in Heaven is a show about life and love, and even more than that, it's a show about finding yourself when you really don't know who you are or where you fit into the rest of the world. If you thought the conjoined twins had it bad, wait til you get a load of the host of problems their lovers bring into the mix. Sometimes being physically attached to another person isn't the biggest problem in a relationship.

The show opens with the twins getting ready for their big night; they're about to propose to their girlfriend Jessica. If you're like me, you're wondering what kind of girl would want to date a pair of conjoined twins. Perhaps it's some weird fetish she has about two guys at the same time, or maybe she's got her own issues. Finding out his brother Benjie is gay turns out to be among the least of Max's worries through out the course of the play.

Made in Heaven takes you past the level of normal sexual content in a show, and brings you into a world of something that at least I didn't expect to encounter on a Friday night at the theatre. That being said, the show was funny and kept me laughing even when I found myself wondering how they came up with such strange scenarios. The show is a bit messy at some points, and I kept trying to figure out how they'd get themselves out of the tangles they were in (to no avail),  but that didn't stop it from being highly entertaining.

The acting was good, and the theatre space was great. The set was kind of like your grandmother's house, but perhaps when you're conjoined twins, you can't really be bothered with interior decorating. I found some of the interactions unbelievable, but when you're at a show like this, you can do nothing but throw it all to the wind and laugh your head off at what's being played out before you.

Kudos to the cast and crew of Made in Heaven for making it work. I laughed so hard that I cried and would definitely recommend this show to my friends.
