THE BRAG FESTIVAL COMES TO THE GENE FRANKEL THEATRE IN AUGUST

The Gene Frankel Theatre will present the BRAG Festival in August; complete with beds of nails, sword swallowing, fire-eaters, contortionists, dog acts, films, burlesque, drag, comedy and more. The festival will feature live performances designed to bring audiences into an entertaining world full of cutting edge talent. The BRAG Festival is presented by Gail Thacker and Kevin Feustel.
Special guest performers and artists for the BRAG Festival include Kara M. Tyler (Red Sonja) of Groove MaMa Ink, motion break dancer Ze Silvan, magician Jeff Grow, comedian Robin Schlau, burlesque performers Rosie 151 and Penny Pollack, mime Richmond Shepard, performance artists Robert Appleton and Brandon Olson, Lana LaRue and her Boomer Revue, film by Joe Jefferies, and more surprise guests in store!
Running Thursday-Saturday over the course of two weeks, the BRAG Festival will take place on August 12th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, and 21st. Showtimes are all at 8pm (the 13th and 20th dates also have special 10pm late shows).
The Gene Frankel Theatre is at 24 Bond Street (between Lafayette and Bowery). Tickets are $15 and can be bought at the door or reserved in advance by calling 212-777-1767.
