The Laurie Beechman Theatre will continue their hit Off Broadway series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED after 4 weeks of sold out runs for one performance only, Monday, August 2nd at 7pm.

Joining the cast are Darius DeHaas (Marie Christine, Kiss of the Spider Woman), Julie Reyburn (MAC & Bistro Winner), Raissa Katona Bennett (Phantom of the Opera), Kevin Dozier and our special guest, Kurt Peterson, who originated the role of Young Ben in Follies. More casting will be announced soon.

It is with great pride that The Laurie Beechman Theatre announces our summer series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED, taking place at the midtown venue on Mondays in July - the 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th @ 7pm. Featuring an array of Broadway and Cabaret's most dynamic performers, Sondheim Unplugged celebrates the work of Broadway's most beloved and prolific composer, accompanied by piano only.

There is $20 cover charge, as well as a $15 food or beverage minimum (a full dinner menu is available). The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within The West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd St. (@ 9th Ave), in the heart of New York's theatre district. SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED boasts an impressive cast of some of the Theatre World and cabaret's most dynamic talents, all of whom will perform their favorite Sondheim tunes. Each evening is hosted by Director/Producer Phil Geoffrey Bond (MAC/Bistro/Nightlife Award Winner), with Musical Direction by Tracy Stark (MAC/Bistro Award Winner).

At each performance, we're very pleased to include guest appearances by performers who created roles in original Sondheim musicals: Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd's original Johanna) on 7/5, Danielle Ferland (Into the Woods' original Little Red Riding Hood and Sunday in the Park with George's original Louise) on 7/12, Pamela Myers (Company's original Marta) on 7/19 and Pamela Winslow (Into the Woods' original Rapunzel) on 7/26.
