Performances Begin on Friday, March 26; opening Sunday, April 11 it will run through June 20 at the newly renovated Actors' Playhouse.
Set on the Vegas strip, Joe Marshall's award-winning comedy A Night in Vegas is a raucous comedy that features six vignettes that cover everything from male prostitutes to anonymous sex, to gay marriage to bickering closet smoking lesbians. A Night in Vegas was awarded the
AriZoni Award for Best Original Script and Best Overall Production and NUVO, Indy's Alternative Voice raved "Vegas will make you laugh!" and nytheatre.com has called Marshall's writing "adept at creative sitcom-style situations and at writing one-liners!" for his last NY production The Gayest Christmas Pageant Ever! A Night In Vegas will be the first full production in the newly renovated Actors' Playhouse.Owner/operator Lawrence Page has upgraded the popular theatre into a Supper Theater complete with a full bar, menu and downtown lounge.

Joe Marshall (writer/director) after studying at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, Joe Marshall continued his education at Arizona Technical Institute, obtaining an F.C.C. License in broadcast communication. He is the founder and artistic director for Alternative Theatre Company. He has produced and written eleven plays, including the Off-Broadway hit The Gayest Christmas Pageant Ever! His play A Night in Vegas received two AriZoni awards: Best Original Script and Best Overall Production. Joe has appeared as an actor in more than 40 shows and three films, including the movie Postcards From America and a national tour of the play The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Joe has directed and choreographed more than thirty award-winning productions. He also was the Director of Children's Programming at Theatre Works, winning five People's Choice awards.
The cast includes: Jonathan Craig, Ree Davis, Jay DeYonker, Joe Fanelli, Alex Hamblet, Denis Hawkins, Lauren Hennessy, Ben Jones, Dana Pelevine, Nicholas Pierro, Gerald Prosser Jr., Bill Purdy, Kelly Riley, Jason Romas, Drew Stark, Minna Taylor, Chris von Hoffman and Rachel Wright Creative team includes: Casper De la Torre (Lighting and Set Designer) and Seth Gamble (Costume Designer).
Alternative Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are renowned for producing award-winning LGBT plays that engage an audience in a conversation relating to specific feelings and messages reflecting the gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gender community.
Founded in 1991 by Joe Marshall, the company relocated from Arizona to New York in 2009.
