Pascal Productions is closing the World Premiere Off Broadway production of MODOTTI on June 27, 2010, 6 days prior to the July 3, 2010 scheduled.

MODOTTI by Wendy Beckett (Anais Nin: One of her Lives) will have played sixteen performances (plus three previews) at Off-Broadway's Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Performances began Tuesday, June 8 at 7 p.m. and opening night was Friday, June 11 (8 p.m.).

Australian playwright and director Beckett returned to New York with the World Premiere of MODOTTI with Alysia Reiner in the title role as Tina Modotti, Hollywood silent film actress, photographer, and communist subversive.

Accompanied by her lover, American photographer Edward Weston, Tina Modotti joins the Mexican cultural revolution. Can passion and idealism contend with power and violence? This sexy and controversial new work follows Modotti, a woman decades before her time, as she takes on the mantle of Latin American politics.

MODOTTI will play the following schedule through it's closing on Sunday June 27 at Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row:

Tuesdays at 7 p.m. | Wednesdays at 8 p.m. | Thursdays at 8 p.m. | Fridays at 8 p.m.
Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. | Sundays at 3 p.m.
