Various up and coming songwriters will come together to perform original music at Off Broadway's Laurie Beechman Theatre on August 9.

Entitled In Their Own Voice, the evening will feature the talents of Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days), Scott Alan (Piece), Tommy Newman (Band Geeks), John Mercurio (Academy), Jason Michael Snow, Julia Meinwald, Rob Shapiro, Joey Contreras, Alex Wyse, and more songwriters to be announced soon. Show time is at 7:00 PM.

All In Their Own Voice proceeds will directly benefit the 2010 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) production of Nighttime Traffic, an original musical by Wyse. Broadway show tickets, signed theatre memorabilia, and other prizes will beraffled and auctioned off between songs. Wyse is set to host the concert with a special guest to be revealed at a later date.

Jason Haft and Eve Rybnick are producing In Their Own Voice. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in the West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street. There is a $15 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. For reservations, call 212-695-6909.
