CREATOR OF OFF BROADWAY'S THE FANTASTICKS TO HAVE LAST PERFORMANCE

Tom Jones, creator of the worlds longest running musical, The Fantasticks, will take his final bow as Henry (The Old Actor) on June 6th at Off Broadway's Snapple Theater Center.

Over the years Jones played the role often under the stage name Thomas Bruce. He stepped in as Tom Jones  April 26 to celebrate the The Fantasticks' 50th Anniversary. Tom Flagg, Jones' understudy will play the role from June 7- July 3. Beginning June 5 MacIntyre Dixon (Beauty and the Beast, 1776, The 3Penny Opera, Gypsy with Bernadette Peters) will step in to play Henry.

The Fantasticks opened Off Broadway at the Sullivan Street Playhouse in May 1960 and closed Jan. 13, 2002, to move to the Snapple Theater Center in the heart of the theater district.
