The New York Theatre Workshop has announced the complete cast for its upcoming Off Broadway production of Lillian Hellman's THE LITTLE FOXES.
The production will feature Elizabeth Marvel as Regina Giddens, Tina Benko, Marton Csokas, Lynda Gravatt, Cristin Milioti, Thomas Jay Ryan, Greig Sargeant, Sanjit De Silva, Christopher Evan Welch, and Nick Westrate.
THE LITTLE FOXES will be directed by Ivo van Howe.
THE LITTLE FOXES will begin previews on September 10 and will open on September 20. It will close on October 31.
Tickets for THE LITTLE FOXES Off Broadway are available now for members and will go on sale to the general public on August 17. Tickets are $70 for the general public; member guest tickets are $40.
A startlingly original play (also known from the Hollywood film starring Bette Davis), THE LITTLE FOXES is a timely study of greed, dishonesty, and one generation's unstoppable drive to ruthlessly exploit the resources of a previous generation. This is the sixth collaboration between NYTW and Flemish director Ivo van Hove--past collaborations have included Eugene O'Neill's MORE STATELY MANSIONS, Tennessee Williams's A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, Ibsen's HEDDA GABLER, and Molière's THE MISANTHROPE.
New York Theatre Workshop, now celebrating its 26th season, is a leading voice in the world of Off-Broadway and within the theatre community in New York and around the world. NYTW has emerged as a premiere incubator of important new theatre, honoring its mission to explore perspectives on our collective history and respond to the events and institutions that shape our lives. In addition, NYTW is known for its innovative adaptations of classic repertory. Each season, from its home in New York's East Village neighborhood, NYTW presents three to five new productions, over 80 readings, and numerous workshop productions, for over 45,000 audience members. Over the past 26 years, NYTW has developed and produced over 100 new, fully staged works. NYTW supports artists in all stages of their careers by maintaining a series of workshop programs including work-in-progress readings, summer residencies, and minority artist fellowships. In 1991, NYTW received an OBIE Award for Sustained Achievement and in 2000 was designated to be part of the Leading National Theatres Program by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
