BroadwaySpace.com Tony Party to be Hosted by Hair Cast Members Annaleigh Ashford and Kyle Riabko!
BroadwaySpace.com, Broadway’s #1 social networking website that links fans and stars of Broadway, Off-Broadway and beyond, announced today that it will be celebrating the Tony Awards in style with the first ever BroadwaySpace.com Tony Party to be held at Blondie’s, 212 West 79th Street (between Broadway & Amsterdam Avenue). The star-studded event will be a hub for BroadwaySpace.com members, Broadway fans, industry members, and many of Broadway’s hottest young performers. Hair stars Annaleigh Ashford (Wicked, Legally Blonde) and Kyle Riabko (Spring Awakening) will host.
BroadwaySpace.com recently surpassed 20,000 members after only a couple years of operation, making it the biggest Broadway social networking site on the web. BroadwaySpace.com is founded by producer, Ken Davenport and is managed by Davenport Media Enterprises LLC. Ken Davenport is a New York-based Broadway and Off-Broadway producer. One of Crain’s “Forty Under 40,” he has written articles for Forbes, Mashable, Imedia and more; his blog, TheProducersPerspective.com, has been featured in publications worldwide including Vanity Fair, New York Magazine, and The Gothamist.
The BroadwaySpace.com Tony Party will feature a live Tony pool with a very special prize for the winner. There will also be raffles and trivia contests throughout the night with prizes and giveaways including free tickets to Tony nominated Broadway shows, Broadway merchandise and more. There is a food & beverage charge of $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Admission includes unlimited bar food (wings, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, fresh veggies and dip, and fries) and unlimited soda. There will also be a cash bar available with drink specials including a festive “Tony-tini.”
The BroadwaySpace.com Tony Party will be sponsored by Dance on Broadway, the Wii dance game that puts YOU center stage performing some of the biggest Broadway hits right at home! Dance, sing, and act to hit songs from your favorite musical performances, like ‘You Can’t Stop the Beat’, ‘Fame’, and ‘Luck Be A Lady’- just to name a few! Challenge up to four friends for the starring role. Get your jazz hands ready for Dance on Broadway!
