Miss Jeffers’ film and television schedules prevented a New York Off premiere until now.

Originally directed by Reggie Rock Bythewood, the show opens for a limited Off Broadway run on Wednesday, June 16th at the theatre at STAGE LEFT STUDIO (438 West 37th Street #5A) where it will play through July 17th with an option to extend through August.

“BATMAN and ROBIN in the BOOGIE DOWN”
(From the Bronx … and beyond.)

BATMAN and ROBIN in the BOOGIE DOWN” is a touching and quirky biographical tale of two siblings.  The acclaimed play chronicles their life and loss, from their exuberant childhood games as Batman and Robin, to the sudden passing of the older brother at the age of 33.

In ACT I we see that the sister has become ill after her brother’s death.  She tries a myriad of alternative treatments from acupuncture to biofeedback to get better but nothing works.   So she decides to go home to connect with her brother’s spirit.

In ACT II the brother comes back in spirit form to answer some of his beloved sister’s questions and to give her some peace and closure.

Both siblings tell their stories from their points of view through heart-wrenching and heart-warming flashbacks.

It is a poignant story of two lives eternally intertwined with a multitude of vibrant characters from their shared past in the Bronx  … and beyond.
