"AND A WAKE-UP" TO PREMIERE IN INTERNATIONAL FRINGE FEST

S&G Productions announces the world premiere of their new play And a Wake-Up, a slyly dark comedy by Megan Condit, as part of the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival. In And a Wake-Up, a soldier and his fiancée try to piece their lives back together after he returns from battle under the most mysterious of circumstances. Sometimes the most brutal battlefield is the one you come home to.

The And A Wake-Up limited run will begin on Sunday, August 15 at 4:15 p.m. at The New School for Drama and Theatre (151 Bank Street between Washington and West Streets).

The cast of And a Wake-Up features Alexandria Wailes (Mother Courage and Her Children), Kyle Knauf (Benten Kozo), Jacob Hoffman (The Secret Garden), Lee Roy Rogers (Orson's Shadow), Lawrence Arancio (The Drawer Boy) and Parker Dixon (Caligula).

The performance schedule is as follows: Sunday, August 15 at 4:15pm, Wednesday, August 18 at 7:15pm, Thursday, August 19 at 9:00pm, Sunday, August 22 at 5:30pm and Monday, August 23 at 7:15pm. General admission tickets are $15 in advance $18 at the door.

Megan Condit's (Playwright) plays have been performed in New York, Seattle, Oakland and Los Angeles and been described as "intricate word tapestry" (Eastside Journal) and "reverse origami, revealing something more complex and intricate than expected."(Backstage West) She was a participant in the Royal Court Residency in New York, a runner-up for the Princess Grace Awards and a semi-finalist to be part of the Chesterfield Writer's Film Project. Megan's plays include: And a Wake-up, Mag Mor (LA Weekly's Weekly Pick), The Interview, For Entertainment Purposes Only and Totality. She received her MFA in playwriting from Columbia University and is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

Bruce Faulk (Director) was one of the Official Selection 2010 NYC Downtown Short Film Festival for Wally and The Chosen Few, and won the Best Ensemble Award. A graduate of the High School of Performing Arts in NY and Carnegie Mellon for Drama, Bruce also has acting credits to his name, some of which include: Bring In Da Noise/Funk (The Public Theater), Hamlet (Roundabout Theater NY), Defying Gravity (Williamstown Theater Festival),"The Sopranos" (HBO), "Law & Order: Criminal Intent & SVU" (NBC) and "All My Children" (ABC).
