A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM 2 NIGHTS ONLY AT WEBSTER HALL

Dillon Porter, currently starring in Off Broadway hit The Awesome 80's Prom at Webster Hall, directs this Quarterly Arts Soirée production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The mission of The Quarterly Art Soirée is to exhibit, expose and promote talent in painting, music, film, fashion, theater, graphic design and performance, installation and video art while celebrating the rich cultural history of the Webster Hall venue and of New York City’s dynamic East Village. We seek to showcase art, fashion and music in a vibrant and unassuming manner so that the art form is not held to the traditional pedestals of the “white-cube” gallery, sleek runway, classic stage and the like. Rather, the prospective spectator may witness the creations as an organic part of a communal environment – where not one thing is set apart from another – and where art may fuse with everyday life.

A Midsummer Night's Dream runs 2 nights only --
Sunday, July 11 at 1:30pm and Monday, July 12 at 10pm

*July 12th show includes a Fairy Cocktail party beforehand beginning at 9pm...dress accordingly, as prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.

The Awesome 80s Prom is a brand new blast-from-the-past party in the style of Tony 'n Tina's Wedding and The Donkey Show set at Wanaget High's Senior Prom... in 1989! All your favorite characters from your favorite '80s movies are at THE PROM, from the Captain of the Football Team to the Asian Exchange Student, from the Geek to the hottie Head Cheerleader, and they're all competing for Prom King and Queen. And just like on "American Idol", the audience decides who wins, all while moonwalking to retro hits like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go!" Come "Back In Time", to quote a Huey Lewis tune, and join the breakdance circle or just sit back and watch the '80s drama unfold. Come on, you know you have a Members Only jacket somewhere. If you're lucky, you'll even get to dance with a cheerleader. And this time, you don't have a curfew.
