2010 FRINGENYC PRESENTS "HIP HOP HIGH - THE MUSICAL"

This year at the 14th annual New York International Fringe Festival-FringeNYC, audiences will be taken through a rollercoaster ride of emtions through rap, song and dance in the new multimedia extravaganza, "Hip Hop High - The Musical" presented by Z-Man Films and Stage Productions. Jane Mattioli and Z-Man direct.
This gritty musical tale centers on an urban high school where new comer Drew Moore witnesses a murder by his fellow students. Drew has to choose between being a cowardly bystander or fighting back to save his mother and his sister from these local crime infested villains . Drew will make Hip hop dance his secret weapon and rap will become his battle cry in this hip, fresh musical.

"Hip Hop High - The Musical" will be performed at The Ellen Stewart Theatre @ LA MAMA. The Ellen Stewart Theatre is located at 66-68 East 4th Street, between 2nd Avenue and Bowery. Tickets are $15.00 in advance, $18.00 day of performance at the theater.

Z-Man Films and Stage Productions, the producer of the show is sponsored by Glenn E. Hines Boys and Girl club of Newburgh, New York. Z-Man Films and Glenn E. Hines Boys and Girl clubs are raising funds to get up to 200 kids to The New York International Fringe Festival to see the premiere of "Hip Hop High-The Musical" in August. The very same production that these kids helped with the movie trailer of "Hip Hop High-The Musical", less than a year ago.The very same trailer that helped get "Hip Hop High-The Musical" get into the Fringe Festival.
Producer / director/ writer Z-Man is the President/ owner of Z-Man Films and Records. The company started as a theater company that produced off-off Broadway musicals which lead into independent film making. Z-Man's Fashion company "VampireWear" helped finance numerous projects produced by Z-Man Films including his last short film "Little Frankie Stein". Z-Man Films completed its first feature length film entitled "The Killing Machines" in 2007 which is currently on the market for sale on DVD. The company also has two more titles out on DVD with the "Crickett and The Little Girl Power" series. In 2006 Z-Man released his first book "Little Frankie Stein". Z-Man Films also has plans to take "Little Frankie Stein" and the other chapters of the series to the big screen as well, but "Crickett And The Little Girl Power" has first call on the kid's market for Z-Man Films. In 2008, Z-Man Films and Stage Production started developing "Hip Hop High-The Musical" with the New York International Fringe festival being it's latest success. The company plans to get the project to an Off Broadway stage as well as develop it as a feature film.
